If you encountered any problem with running the visualization program, send an email to Vikas Taskar - tvikas@umd.edu with the following information. Please read the note at the bottom before sending me an e-mail.  

Please send me an e-mail if you come across any broken links on the web pages.

1) What operating system are you using? 

  • Win XP

  • Win95,

  • Win 98,

  • WinNT,

  • Mac (specify which version), 

  • Unix (Linux, FreeBSD, Solaris, etc.) (Specify version of linux)

2) Which browser are you using? 

  • Netscape, 

  • Internet Explorer,

  • Other (specify)

3) Which version of the browser?  
(To find out the version of your browser select Help ->About... in the main browser menu) 

4) Describe in detail the error encountered.  

    Some examples of errors are: 

  • Start button did not appear. 

  • The browser crashed. 

  • The whole system crashed. 

 In the case of a crash or freeze, report the last thing you did. There may be messages at the bottom of the browser. If so, tell us what they say. 

5) The version of your JAVA plugin (See note below)

6) Your processor (CPU) speed, if possible.

How to determine your version of JAVA Plugin:

  1. In Netscape, click on Help -> About Plugins. The version for the Java Plugin will be listed there.

  2. In Internet Explorer, click on Tools -> Internet Options. Now click on the 'Advanced' tab. Scroll down. If you see 'Microsoft JVM' then download the Sun JVM from the link provided at the bottom; otherwise if you see 'Java', report the version listed there.

NOTE:

PLEASE ENSURE THAT YOU HAVE JAVA PLUGIN VERSION 1.2.2 OR LATER.

IF JAVA IS NOT INSTALLED, PLEASE CONTACT YOUR SYSTEM ADMINISTRATOR OR IF YOU CAN INSTALL IT YOURSELF, DOWNLOAD IT FROM THE JAVA WEB SITE: www.java.com/en/download/manual.jsp

Download the JRE for your platform under "J2SE v 1.4.1_03" and install it. You will also find installation instructions there.

Note to Windows users : Please make sure that you have Sun's JAVA Plugin. This visualisation will not work with Microsoft JVM. Kindly download and install the JAVA Plugin from www.java.com/en/download/manual.jsp
